“ONE OF US DIED, THE OTHER WENT TO HELL”

A YOUNG WIDOWER’S RAW AND HONEST ACCOUNT OF EARLY GRIEF

I am Anthony Lewis, born 1989 in Tacoma, Washington.

Just months before our 10th anniversary, I lost my wife to suicide. Throughout the entire journey, I have transcribed every bit of my experience of grief, conveying every pain and emotion in raw, yet beautiful ways. I provide my vulnerable honesty and perspective to offer comfort, connection, and understanding to the bereaved, and the observers around them.

Grief is not linear. I provide my evidence through the collection of poems, blogs, and various writings I have made along the way. I provide my experience, observations, and perspective to describe my honest account each aspect of grief.

Grief is confusing for everyone, especially when the wounds are fresh. I provide an honest account of what to expect, whether it’s the aspects of grief, the triggers, or the symptoms and how to potentially cope with them.

This book may not be for everyone. I acknowledge many hard truths, dark thoughts, and raw emotions in my vulnerability, and for some it may be too much or too soon, but many appreciate this acknowledgement to know they are not alone or grieving in the wrong way. There is no right or wrong way to grieve.

You are not alone. Read along and I will prove it.
